My boys like this style of hat, and it just so happens that I even have quite a bit if this yarn weight and colour. I have both wool and acrylic. The pattern specifies to use wool, but I find the acrylic yarn I have to be softer than wool. Do you think the acrylic would change the appearance of the hat too much?
