Colorful Sunbeams Blanket

Have you ever seen sunbeams dance? They may be shining through swaying tree branches or a line of fresh laundry on a windy day. The Colorful Sunbeams Blanket captures the warm and cozy feeling of flickering sunbeams against a windowsill. This easy knit blanket is a happy addition to any nursery or child's room. The Colorful Sunbeams Blanket is sure to keep them nice and cuddly until dancing sunbeams wake them up.

I'm always happy to see a pattern using mass market yarns and this one certainly fills that bill. The use of the multicolor yarn alternating with the solids make for an interesting and colorful baby blanket. I've read that it is good for babies to have colorful surroundings and this blanket surely conforms to that recommendation.

Beautifully simple baby blanket in a lovely set of colors. I like the addition of the variegated yarn to tie the stripes together, but this should work up beautifully with any choice of colors. The picked up vertical borders help frame the blanket. You can find a tutorial for picking up edge stitches by searching the net
