It's nice to find projects like this that are based on stitches that are not commonly used. This lovely afghan is made with two strands of yarn held together so it should be nice and comfy. The designer also makes one round of single crochet all around the afghan for a nice finishing touch.

Very pretty and unique afghan knit in an easy to remember stitch. Only one row out of four is knit in the pattern, the other three are knit in stockinette stitch. The size is nice on this one too. It would make a nice wedding gift, or a present for a special friend. Scaled down, it would be perfect for baby.
