This pattern is so easy, and would be the perfect gift! I can see giving this to a new mom for her baby, or to a couple for their new home! You could even change the colors for an older boy or girl, for Christmas or a birthday. There are so many possibilities!

Tried this craft? What did you think?

Not a good pattern for a beginner. It would be better to knit the edges along with the body instead of afterwards.

I was looking for a simple baby blanket and this will be fine. Not crazy about the edging either. I will also do either a garter stitch at the edges or a seed stitch so it does not roll. This should work up fast. Thank you.

Tried this craft? What did you think?

Not wild about this one. Seems like a lot of trouble to pick up an edging when its just a garter stitch. Maybe use an 8 needle and do 8 rows of garter then st st with garter st at the beginning and end of each row and finish with garter st. Plymouth yarn is just beautiful so a baby blanket will be a treasure.
