Knit Easter Chick Basket

The Knit Easter Chick Basket is a quick and easy way to spruce up your Easter decor. This tiny chick is the perfect knitting pattern for beginners since it's knit entirely flat using garter stitch. The basket also has a small opening for holding candy or other small treasures. This free knitting pattern would make the perfect addition to a child's Easter basket. However, if you're planning to give this feathered friend to a very small child, be sure to replace the button eyes with yarn. Add a dose of spring to your home this season with the addition of this sweet knitted Easter basket.

That's the kind of Easter project I was looking for! I had some ideas and looked at some patterns, but nothing was "right" until this. I just need something small to put on the table while Easter dinner is being finished up. This looks quick and easy and that's perfect for right now.

I always try to make a little candy holder for each holiday for my husbands desk at work and for my kids bedrooms so I can keep them filled with whatever the seasonal candy treats are at the time. This one will definitely be the one I make for Easter. Will have to start on it soon and fill them up.
