Seed Stitch

Row 1 (RS): * K1, p1; rep from * to end.
Row 2 (WS): * P1, k1; rep from * to end.
Rep Rows 1 & 2 for patt.

 

Doodle Bug Baby Hoodie Charts

 

BACK
Cast on 26 (28, 30) sts. Beg with Row 1, work 4 rows in Seed st.
Next row (RS): Knit.
Next row (WS): Purl.
Cont in St st until Back meas 5 (5½, 6)” from cast-on edge, ending with WS row. Place removable marker at each edge to indicate beginning of Armholes. Cont in St st until Armholes meas 4¼ (4½, 4¾)”, ending with WS row. Bind off all sts.
 

FRONT
Work as for Back until piece meas 5 (5½, 6)” from cast-on edge, ending with WS row. Place removable marker at each edge to indicate beginning of Armholes.
 

Separate Fronts
K13 (14, 15) for Left Front, turn. Place remaining 13 (14, 15) sts on holder for Right Front. Work even in St st over Left Front sts until piece meas 2¾ (3, 3¼)”, ending with RS row.
 

Shape Left Front Neck
Next row (WS): Bind off 2 (3, 3) sts, purl to end. Dec 1 st at Neck edge every row, 3 times – 8 (8, 9) sts rem for Shoulder. Work even in St st until Armhole meas 4¼ (4½, 4¾)”, ending with WS row. Bind off all sts.
 

Right Front
Return sts to ndl. Work even in St st over Right Front sts until piece meas 2¾ (3, 3¼)”, ending with WS row.


Shape Right Front Neck
Next row (RS): Bind off 2 (3, 3) st, purl to end. Dec 1 st at Neck edge every row, 3 times – 8 (8, 9) sts rem for Shoulder. Work even in St st until Armhole meas 4¼ (4½, 4¾)”, ending with WS row. Bind off all sts.
 

SLEEVES
Cast on 18 (18, 20) sts. Beg with Row 1, work 4 rows in Seed st.
Next row (RS): Knit.
Next row (WS): Purl.
Inc row (RS): K1, m1, knit to last st, m1, k1 – 2 sts inc’d. Working in St st, repeat Inc row every other RS row, 1 (2, 2) more time(s) – 22 (24, 26) sts. Work even in St st until Sleeve meas 5½ (6, 7)”, ending with WS row. Bind off all sts.
 

HOOD
Cast on 36 (38, 40) sts. Work even in St st for 7½ (8, 8½)”, ending with WS row.
 

Shape Hood
Bind off 4 sts at beg of next 4 rows. Bind off all sts.
 

FINISHING
Sew Shoulder Seams. Sew Sleeves to Armholes. Sew Sleeve and side seams. Sew Bind-off edge of Hood to Neck Edge. Sew top edge of Hood. Weave in ends.
