The Silly Spider Knit Hat is a great way to show off your Halloween spirit. However, this free knit hat pattern is so cute your little one will want to wear it all year long! The legs are only attached at the end, so they will wiggle when your child moves around. All you need is some worsted weight yarn, circular knitting needles, and double pointed needles to get started. This gray and black knit hat is a great way to get in the spooky spirit. Knitting for babies is so satisfying when you can create such adorable patterns. Imagine how many photo opportunities you'll have when your child is wearing this silly spider hat.

Such a cute little hat, and fun too! I know of several kids who would love this. Changing up the colours would create a nice variety of spiders. If you wish to stuff the body of the spider you could make a circular piece that is the same diameter as the widest part of the black section of the hat. Then stitch it in place inside of the hat, adding a bit of stuffing between the pieces.

This might be kind of fun to make for Halloween, but I think I would make the main color blue or pink rather than gray. I think a brighter color would offset the black spider better, but that might just be me. It would probably be worn just a couple of times then it would seem inappropriate, but it looks easy enough to make.

I was going to ask if anyone could think of a way to slightly stuff the body of the spider to make it stand out a little. I hit "submit" too fast!
