"Alternate between stockinette and reverse garter stitch to mimic stripes. This square is one of 30 free knitting patterns for 6" square in the Anthology Blanket knit-a-long."
Knitting Needle Size7 or 4.5 mm
Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)
Materials List
- Cascade 220 Superwash (100% superwash wool), or approximately 41 yds (37.5 m) in any medium weight yarn
- US Size 7/4.5 mm knitting needles, or any size needed to obtain gauge
- Yarn needle

This is a nice easy knit pattern that everyone can make. I see it as a great dishcloth pattern for your kitchen. It can also be used as a washcloth for your bath or shower. The rows of purl stitches give a nice texture to the cloth for scrubbing dishes. Be sure and use kitchen cotton when you make dishcloths or washcloths.

This is another square identified as easy knit - I like the easy knit patterns as they will encourage beginning knitters and because they come together quickly, so one can do multiples to achieve the larger project. Thank you, designers and thank you, allfreeknitting.com
