Ms Layman, what you did was copyright infringement. "Your" pattern came from Nomis Scandinavian Sweaters, 10 Original Knitting Patterns with Instructions by Kajsa Lindqvist and Natalie Hebert, Volume 1, published by Plays Inc., COPYRIGHT 1946 by Kajsa Lindqvist. I own this pattern book. And if I'm not mistaken, copyright have no expiration date. I despise plagerism.

Now you took a classic traditional Scandinavian "dancing ladies" pattern from a pattern book I purchased 40 years ago (pattern book was copyrighted in the mid 1940's) and turned it into a "dancing grannies" pattern, which I resent! If I were to wear my sweater with that pattern that I made and now that I'm over 50, I DO NOT in anyway be referred to as a "dancing granny" by virtue of wearing something with dancing ladies on it! You've destroyed that pattern for me! To the pattern designer, be more original and don't steal a old pattern of long ago and in the process, destroy the design for perpetuity! Not happy!

thought in order to republish pattern by law it has to be 50 or more years past. legally?
