Revolution Jacket

By: Chelsea Darling and Ryan Marnel for Knitty.com

If you're tired of using knitting patterns for men that are bland, boring and unshapely, I think you'll get a kick out of this Revolution Jacket. With a slight feel of a civil war jacket, this piece is made with the split stitch. At some points in this pattern, you'll be knitting with two strands of yarn at once. While a little more time consuming, the end result is definitely worth all of the work!

Can't wait to try it and give a better rating.

This looks more like something one would make for a girl to me. but still kinda cool _

The REV jacket looks like something "PRINCE" perhaps would wear. I, knitted in other noticable colors. Gray and Green are blah together; as it is, it give me the feel of history--as in Whigs era--18th century. pat/pasadena, ca

Absolutely not. I think this pattern is ugly and the men in my life would not wear anything like this. It's too long and my guys don't like cuffs. The lapel style is not something my men would go for either. They prefer simple, classic styles and if we want to liven it up I'll knit Fair Isle or intaglio.

haha, this would be awesome! If I knew how to alter patterns, I would alter it a bit, but you know what, it would be such a conversationalist piece I'd keep it as is.

Hi yes I would knit this Jacket. is a lovely style i would love it for myself.
