hello, my name is Connie i tried to star the knit pattern for the one row reversible lace scarf. i start with the 24 stitches and get about 6 rows and all of sudden my stitches get less. what am i not doing or what am i doing wrong ? please help i'd like very much like to get this one made .

Hi twinstar! When you get to the pattern row, or row 3, are you perhaps knitting a K2tog twice in a row rather than a K2tog and then just a K2? This might be decreasing your stitches since there is only one YO in that row to account for the single K2tog. If this isn't the problem, let us know and we'll try to resolve it. Thanks, and happy knitting! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

I believe I am reading this pattern wrong, as the pattern I am knitting does not look like the picture. The instructions say "Repeat the pattern row until your scarf is at desired length." The pattern row I see is "K4 (YO, K2tog, K2) repeat between ( ) 5 times." Do I do that row twice, and then go back to the Knit 2 rows, or do I just keep repeating the pattern row? The picture looks as though there are knit rows in between.

You only repeat the actual pattern row which is K4 (YO, K2tog, K2)so after you knit 4, you simply repeat the yo, k2tog, k2 across the row.

I am going to have a go for this one row lace scarf because it looks wonderful and seems so easy to knit. The pattern says it can be knitted in any yarn we like with a little adjustment i.e. addition of multiple of 4 stitches if more width is required. Lacy pattern will make it grow fast at the same time the pattern itself is very easy to follow because it consists of only one row.

I've made this with ladder yarn and cast on 24 sts. It has been a big hit!

It is beautiful and made the scarf 3 times in different colors.Thank you for pattern . Mado
