The only issue I have with the website this pattern is found on, is that they don't actually tell you which yarn they used, not all yarn is created equal, so it is no help to provide the weight of the yarn without any other necessary information, it's too bad there are some really nice patterns on that website, but none of them provide the yarn name, so I suppose its for knitters who wish to live dangerously, take their chances and hope the patterns work out and not just waste their precious knitting time.

This statement is exaggerated as this site has many patterns indicating specific yarn. Besides, with some experience knitters usually have enough knowledge of yarns, so an indication of yarn weight will suffice.

Not sure how a statement of fact can be "exaggerated"? FYI there were so many problems with the pattern, including the issues I mentioned that it has been removed from the website. Knowledge of yarn will not help in determining how much yarn is needed to complete a pattern without an indication of which yarn was used, without the yardage information, the knitter is kind of playing yarn roulette.
