I love scarves like this one. Easy to knit and the scarf will drape so nicely. You can make it wider and longer if you want. The yarn you choose will make the difference here. Even though it does not look it, the scarf can be warm. Thank you.

This scarf pattern has several pluses it can be knit wider by adding stitches in any number of 2 it could be knit longer I think it could even be knit into an infinity scarf by extending it it is easily knit without constant references to the pattern. Love it
