I love this hat and already have leftover pieces of yarn that will work perfectly to make it happen! Does anyone have a full proof way to make a pom pom? I usually have pretty good luck but I'm always afraid they will fall apart.

Hi schiebet, this page includes two videos demonstrating ways to make a pom pom. Hope this helps! https://www.allfreeknitting.com/Knitting-Collections/Pom-Pom-Knitting-Patterns. -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

I love the ombre effect of this pattern! And you don't need to buy special self patterning yarn - the designer just uses 2 strands together and gradually incorporates the change of color to give it the ombre look. This could be a fun stash buster project! Should be soft and comfy too.

Really pretty hat. Love the ombre color and the cute pompom. I can see making this hat as a gift in the recipient's favorite color, or in a variety of colors to be donated to a charity. I think this would look just as pretty in a solid or a variegated yarn, too.

This is a nice, classic style looking hat with a little twist, so I added it to my favorite patterns and will be knitting it for myself as soon as I have the time. The great thing about it is that the pattern looks to be well written and easy to follow. That's important in my book!
