Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Gauge1 stitches, 2 rows, 3 inches. stockinette stitch

Materials:

  • Bernat® Tiny Tickles™ (250 g/8.82 oz; 290 m/317 yds): Splash Park (41712) - 3 balls
  • Size 5.5 mm (U.S. 9) circular knitting needle 36" [90 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge.

Measurement:

Approx 35" [89 cm] square.

Gauge:

16 sts and 24 rows = 4" [10 cm] in stocking st.

Abbreviations:

Approx = Approximately
Inc1 =  Increase 1 stitch by knitting into front and back of next stitch
K = Knit
K2(3) tog = Knit next 2(3) stitches together
M1 = Make 1 stitch by picking up horizontal loop lying before next stitch and knitting into back of loop. Please see Chart.
Rem = Remaining
Rep = Repeat
RS = Right side
St(s) = Stitch(es)

Instructions:

Cast on 2 sts. Working back and forth across needle in rows, proceed as follows:
1st row: Inc1 in first st. K1. 3 sts.
2nd row: (RS). K1. (M1. K1) twice. 5 sts.
3rd row: Knit.
4th row: K1. M1. Knit to last st. M1. K1.
Rep 3rd and 4th rows until work along straight side edge measures 35" [89 cm], ending on a 3rd row.

Next row: (RS). K1. K2tog. Knit to last 3 sts. K2tog. K1.
Next row: Knit.
Rep last 2 rows until 3 sts rem.
Next row: K3tog. Fasten off.
