Color Riot Cowl
This gorgeous arts and crafts style cowl is a delight to wear as well as look at. The Color Riot Cowl is a simple knit cowl pattern featuring two large, whimsical buttons. Upon first glance, the cowl appears to be just a nubby, orange cowl. However, after a closer look, the all the pretty details of the yarn come to life. Deep purples, brilliant blues, mossy greens, vibrant magentas, and breathtaking strands of rich red intertwine to make a chaotic, beautiful cowl.

Knit this on a drive to Ottawa - no I was not driving - 100 yds of bulky yarn in a vivid colour mix -- wonderful way to use up those partial balls of yarn that are not enough for other projects! And a great way to use the time for a 60 mile (100 Km) drive. I am not happy sitting still at the best of times as for sitting and doing nothing, it simply does not work for me. This happy little neck warmer solves the problem and adds two and almost three items to the gift drawer -- soon need a cupboard.

This is a perfect example of how the right yarn can transform a simple pattern. I love cowls like these because they can be adjusted to the size of your neck. They are relatively easy to knit as well. Thanks for the pattern.
