Nintendo DS Cozy

If you are a lover of practical free knitting patterns, then you'll love this Nintendo DS Cozy. Crafted with both the garter stitch and stockinette stitch, this knit pouch pattern is a great project for a beginner. If you don't have a Nintendo DS, you can easily adapt this pattern to fit a Kindle or e-reader.

Beginner

Knitting Needle Size11 or 8 mm

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Materials:

  • Red Heart Yarn (green camouflage and black yarn) 
  • U.S. size 11 needles
  • 1 medium button

Instructions:

Note: Throughout the pattern: hold 2 strands of each ball of yarn together

CO 15 stitches
Knit 3 rows then switch to stockinet st. and knit for 14 inches
knit 3 more rows in garter stitch
BO

Sew sides up and attach a button.
Note: the stitches are flexible enough for button to go through the yarn without a buttonhole.
