Beautiful Basketweave Scarf

If you're a fan of chunky scarves, it doesn't get much better than the Beautiful Basketweave Scarf. A great scarf really pulls an outfit together and this free knitting pattern is no exception. The basketweave stitch is so easy - even for beginners - and it creates a pretty, woven effect. The stitch is created by knitting clusters of knit and purl stitches for a set amount of rows and then reversing the order of the stitches. If you can knit and purl, you can make this amazing scarf. The fringe adds an extra touch to the ends of the piece. Although this scarf knitting pattern is neutral, it's anything but boring.

This scarf has enormous appeal for me - and I prefer cowls lol. Found some wonderful super thick yarn a few days ago and used it to create a sweater (and it worked!!!! - my first diy without an actual pattern) this would work well in the leftover yarn -- film at eleven

Basketweave pattern is always nice, and looks very good in a solid color. With the super bulky/super chunky yarn this scarf should work up in very little time, and should be super soft and cozy. I like the fringes on the ends but would probably make them shorter. (Just my personal preference.)
