Glamorous Statement Poncho

Glamorous Statement Poncho

It's easy for a knit poncho to look cozy and homey, but hard for one to look absolutely fabulous. This Glamorous Statement Poncho does just that. The bulky yarn's golden sheen gives it an air of sophistication unseen in most knitting patterns. This pattern is ridiculously mindless because the pattern repeats quite a bit, so if you're an experienced enough knitter, you can whip this up while watching TV. It also works splendidly with work events or other formal gatherings. Knit a couple in different colors so you have one to match any outfit.

This a lovely poncho and it would knit up quickly. I have the perfect yarn for this. I like ponchos like this because they are the perfect extra layer when you feel a bit chilly. Also it is nice addition to an outfit. I can see this knit in a yarn with a bit of shimmer. It would be perfect for the evening when you don't want anything too bulky. Thank you.

Has anyone tried this with a kind of yarn that isn't the Sashay? I have some skeins of a regular super chunky yarn but I'm not sure if it would look correct. I also wondered about using some chenille yarn. Any ideas or advice? Thanks!

I would love to make this with a lighter yarn. Could you change directions for me?

No one is going to alter this pattern for you, but you could do it yourself.

I am new to this site. Haven't knitted in over 4 and a half decades. (beginner projects) I do crochet and use the free sites. My question is, why most of the patterns have no accompanied pictures?

Hi bonnietobin123 450 4141, unfortunately, some images were deleted when the site underwent an update. Our team has been working hard to manually update the missing images. Thank you for your patience! This particular pattern has a photo, but feel free to point out any other patterns you are interested in with a missing photo and we will update them right away. -Editors of AllFreeKnitting
