It is so pretty wow

I think it is beautiful, but not a snood, even if they call it a snood. That is a beanie that is worn like a snood, but does not actually make it a snood. You could actually do that with many different hat patterns also, but that doesn't make them snoods just a different way of wearing. Love the look though and it is a great idea.

You what Crazy for Cables, you are absolutely right. I just looked at the pics on the pattern website and it sure is worn like a snood. I apologize. I am used to seeing the snoods from the 1940's which were much more "open" and loosely knit.

I think if you actually look at the pattern you'd find its not a "cute beanie" but rather the knitter intended this to be worn from the middle of the top of her head and put her hair under the bottom which hangs over the back of the neck. very feminine and cleaver..
