This would knit up quick with such large yarn and I think it would look good in two colors but I think it would look awesome all in cream too. The difference in the stitches would make a nice texture change without changing the color.

Ooh, pretty! I love the color band around the center. I could imagine a lot of color combinations that would look good in the pattern. Plus, it's super bulky/super chunky yarn and big needles so it will work up fast. I'm thinking shades of brown, or maybe throw caution to the wind and use pinks!

I like the chunkiness of the stitches and the visual interest of the pop of color the wide band gives this hat. This is a great versatile unisex pattern, as the write-up says, great for charity knitting. I bet it would look just as interesting in a solid color yarn, too.
