My brother asked me to knit a scarf for him. I'm working the pattern now. It know quickly and I like the texture.

My wonderful husband is always last in line behind our son, daughter and me when it comes to having something knitted or crocheted specially for him and although he is always very good natured about it I, nonetheless, often feel bad about it. This Hitchhikers scarf is exactly what he loves, the only change I will have to make is to include a little blue because that is his favourite colour. Thank you for the lovely pattern!

This looks so cute and super easy. I'm still new to knitting, but I definitely think I will try out this pattern!

When the world was a nicer place my son loved to hitch-hike - he covered most of north america that way I see no reason not to call this the Hitch-hiker's Scarf as I plan to knit it for him. Come to think of it, any scarf I might knit him would be a Hitch-hiker's Scarf regardless of straight or circular needles - talk about a tempest in a knitting bag.

Debbie633 .... yikes! You DO sound very hostile and unnecessarily so. I MADE THIS SCARF AND LOVE IT AND SO DID THE GUY I MADE IT FOR!!!!! It turned out beautifully and who cares what the name of it is??? I loved it. I commend Bailey Sue for her kind response to you. You sound AWFUL.

this is not a hitchhiker scarf..it is a plain stupid scarf. please learn your scarf names. because this is not a hitchhiker scarf. you need a round needle for the hitchhiker scarf.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but ALL of my needle needles are round. It would be difficult to knit with a square needle. Why the hostility?

I think she means a circular needle, so while she calling others "stupid" she should be placing herself in the same category. Square needles are a thing and are awesome, by the way.

What has using a circular needle to do with the scarf's name. Don't you have anything better to do with your time than to attack the pattern's author about the name she chose? Get a life!

Like the design and shall start it today. Maybe ready for Christmas!

Like the color's nice looking
