Care to Knit Inc Care to knit, Inc. is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide hand knit and crocheted items such as scarves, lap shawls, hats and other related accessories to those in shelters, hospitals, nursing homes and hospices.

There are many millions of abandoned and vulnerable children and AIDS orphans in southern Africa, who live in dire poverty. Knit a Square charity aims to help these children.

 

Delaware Head Huggers

Delaware Head Huggers We are a splinter group of Head Huggers, which was started by Sue Thompson in 2001. We make handmade hats and caps for patients who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy, brain surgery or burns. These hats are delivered throughout Delaware as well as to many neighboring states. We also provide caps to individuals who request them. All hats and caps are given free of charge to try to help patients through a difficult time.

 

Mother Bear Project

Mother Bear Project The Mother Bear Project is dedicated to providing comfort and hope to children affected by HIVAIDS in emerging nations, by giving them a gift of love in the form of a hand-knit or crocheted bear.

 

Bundles of Love Charity

Bundles of Love Charity Bundles of Love Charity is an all-volunteer non-profit organization, incorporated in the state of Minnesota to help infants and their families. Our 501(c)3 status allows us to give tax deductible receipts for all donations. Starting with a group of 5 in 1999, we now have hundreds of active volunteers and continue to grow and help a larger number of families each year.

 

Kozy Kovers for Kids

Kozy Kovers for Kids Our goal is to give a new handmade blanket to each and every child that enters the Delaware Foster Care Program, to give a bit of comfort during a trying time. These blankets are permanent gifts for the children.

 

Yarns of Hope Charity

Yarns of Hope Charity Our goal is to involve all types of individuals knitters, crocheters, cancer patients, family members of cancer patients or anyone looking for a way to help and provide them with a tangible and practical way to show our love and hope through handmade items. This includes chemo caps, prayer shawls, lap throws, scarves, etc. These items will be donated to the local cancer centers, the Beacon of Hope Cancer Ministry or to anyone in need of hope and comfort while fighting cancer. We have also been able to start sending some of our hats and scarves on mission tripsboth local and foreign!

 

Binky Patrol

Binky Patrol Binky patrol is a national organization that knits, sews, quilts and crochets blankets, also known as binkies, for children and teens who are sick, in hospitals, in foster care, in shelters, abused, homeless or experiencing trauma. Binky patrol makes these blankets for children and teens in hopes of providing some comfort during trying times.

 

A Child's Light

A Childs Light is a child abuse prevention education and advocacy non-profit organization. Our current project involves providing knitted or crocheted purple colored baby caps to hospitals, who in turn deliver them to families of newborns in November and December each year. Additionally, parents andor caregivers receive The Period of PURPLE Crying training which educates them about normal infant crying, ways to cope with the crying and the dangers of reacting in frustration by shaking or abusing an infant. Calvin's Hats

Calvins Hats Calvins Hats is a non-profit organization that distributes the tiniest of hats to families who have little ones leave much too soon. Our hats go to hospitals across the United States and to individual families all over the world. Our wish is that these tiny hats will carry with them a small amount of healing, comfort, and peace. whether a family said goodbye this morning or 50 years ago.
