Love the colors on this hat!

This is a simple pattern, great for new knitters. I love that it is made on 2 needles instead of circular or double pointed needles. Yes, it has a seam, but I find it so much easier to work with a pair of regular needles. I have been knitting for roughly 40 years, and yet I still struggle with working in the round on circular needles.

what is sherbert?

Hello darius1953 4094645, sherbert is just a word the designer used to name this pattern. Hope this helps! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

Sherbert is a frozen treat similar to ice cream, but is usually fruit based.

I prefer slouch hats. I find you can pull them down easier over your ears when the wind picks up. This hat is simple and should work up easily. You can never have too many hats especially here in NYC where it can get so windy. Thank you.
