Rippling Rainbow Knit Baby Blanket

If you just know your baby girl is going to have a radiant personality, you should knit her a blanket that reflects that. This Rippling Rainbow Knit Baby Blanket challenges the color stereotypes of knit baby blankets. Why knit pink or blue when you can knit a rainbow? The best part is that you absolutely won't find knit afghan patterns for babies that are this cool-looking while still being ridiculously easy. Any beginner can pull this blanket off after learning just a couple of knitting techniques.

Seems like an excessive amount of yarn for a baby blanket. The balls are 1,256 yards each and the pattern calls for 2. I wonder if this yarn amount is correct, I'm going to check it on the bernat site before I start.

This stitch is really interesting. It looks kind of like a ripple but I like how it changes from garter to the lacy stitch. It looks like a pattern that would be really easy to remember which I love best so I can knit and watch TV without too much thinking involved!
