The pattern doesn't say how many strands of yarn to hold together - maybe it's missing a picture. It refers to picture 1 but I don't see one in the pattern, just your picture here. I agree with all the other comments. I love things done on big needles but this pattern needs some work.

I did some research on the pattern because I like the look of it. If you use their specific yarn, the patterns makes sense-the recommended yarn comes triple stranded already on the ball-so when it says to hold all strands together you are in fact holding all three strands straight from the ball. The yarn is rated as bulky 165yds. per ball and there are 6 balls per package,so I 'm going to try it with 6 walls of worsted, triple stranded and see how it goes. For the knitters that wondered about it being rounded, according to the pattern you are working 3 stitches together at the beginning and end of each row, so this will indeed round it off. I know this is really late, wish me luck!

Whoever wrote the instructions for this "easy" pattern needs to use an editor who can make it into an actual workable pattern.

What a pattern!? Could it be any more vague??! Sorry, it's not for the inexperienced knitter. Looks pretty easy but the pattern reads like someone is telling you how to do it while in the middle of doing it. Weird...

How is the shawl rounded? The photo doesn't really show how the shawl is constructed. There is nothing in the photo to make me want to see the pattern.
