Mt. Vernon Shawl

Comfort and elegance collide in this beautiful Mt. Vernon Shawl. In addition to lace knitting skills, you'll need to master the provisional cast-on method to begin this classy design. Aside from the lace edging, which is knit separately then seamed onto the finished garment, minimal seaming is required to complete this shawl.

It IS worsted (Gr. 4 Medium yarn), the yarn weight given on AFK is wrong. You can check on Ravelry, enter the name of the designer, Tanis Gray Shawl. The pattern is $3 U.S.

This pattern calls for "super fine" yarn. When I looked up the brand used, Tilli Thomas pure & simple, the description says it is a worsted weight yarn / 5 stitches to an inch and the beaded yarn is 18 stitches / every 4 inches. More of a DK weight. My opinion of super fine yarn is between a lace weight and a sock weight. Love this pattern, please help with yarn weights.

why does this pattern call for super fine (1) weight yarn and the yarn itself is worstered weight?
