Maryland Mountains Shawl

Speckled with a lace design that imitates tiny cat footprints, the Maryland Mountains Shawl is a must-have pattern for summertime. Pull out your lightweight yarn and create your own deep, crescent-shaped shawl that results in an elegant garment fit for any dressy occasion. Because of this pattern's playful lacework, we recommend experimenting with bright and vibrant colors to make the design really pop!

Not a big fan of knitting shawls or bigger projects just because it takes so much longer to make than it would if they were crocheted. Knitting does, however, give you a much nicer look and the ability to make more intricate designs into a project. This is a lovely shawl but I would need to convert to crochet.

Huh. This site added characters. Move the two rr in strawberry together and you get the correct address.

Let me correct that link, sorry. http//spindyeknit.com/patternfiles/strawber == ry-pie-shawl/

I don't know why this site changed the name, but this is my Strawberry Pie shawl pattern at http//spindyeknit.com/patternfiles/strawberry-pie- == shawl/ It hangs slightly boomerang-shaped, not quite straight down on both sides. I wanted to improve on the shaping, and the outcome of that experimenting was the shawls in my book, "Wrapped in Comfort Knitted Lace Shawls." I am very happy with how they came out.

I love your pattern.Thank you i have just printed it off. Trying to find if you have any books in print..

I love this, will look for DK yarn in a color I like.
