I knitted this for myself and for a co-worker. It was very easy and looks great. The collar is made just by adjusting the wrap on you. I really enjoyed the simplicity and the beautiful outcome.

holl the dol is correct-there is no collar this is the way the wrap is laying on the model. this can actually be achieved on anyone there's plenty of room to do it.

Please comment on how the "collar" on the left of the model is accomplished by this pattern. wouldn't this require extra width in the rectangle, and how much?

I do not think it is a collar. It looks like the way the Mobius is folded.
