Very Cabley Mittens

"There is something incredibly soothing about knits with cables. So, what could be better than very cabley mittens! The cables in these mittens create a lovely tight fabric that will keep hands warm this winter. Best of all, these mittens are made with worsted weight yarn, so they knit up relatively quickly! These mittens have a sweet rounded top, which gives them a modern look. Tips for the pattern and ideas for a matching hat are provided."

These are beautiful. Both the design and the color. I haven't knit in a while so I am glad this is such an easy project. I read thru the directions and I know I can handle it. They will be a gift for a family member in the north. Not much cLl for them in Florida.

I remember knitting mittens as one of my first knitting projects when I was young and a new knitter. I haven't made them since then but this pattern makes me want to make a pair. I love the design and I could see them in some bright red yarn that I have.

I love how the cable pattern on these mittens becomes curvy at the bottom, forming a rib. I've never tried to knit mittens, as I prefer to wear gloves, but these look like a lot of fun to try because cables are one of my favorites to knit. It's going on my list.

This pattern comes with a hat that complements them as well, and it's Hermione's cable hat. These would be fabulous for a Harry Potter fan. I can't wait to make them with some leftover cream yarn I have, but I think they would be adorable in any color. I love mittens because they're such a quick project--just in time for Christmas!
