"A quick and easy hat to make in just an hour or two! This pattern is simple and versatile - and only 2 rows to remember. The texture makes a solid color yarn really pop. Knit the pattern just as a brim and top it with a stockinette crown and you have an entirely different look. You could add a stripe or two and use this as a great stash buster as well. Instructions for all yarn weights are below."

Oh, this is the perfect hat to knit up at night in front of the TV. It's fast, pretty, warm and therefore perfect for gift-giving and charity knitting. I love this color, too.

This is a great hat pattern, and made with super bulky/super chunky yarn it will work up quickly. The designer shows on her blog page a variation using this stitch pattern as the ribbing or brim and adding stockinette stitch above it to complete the hat. You can use more than one color, too, a great way to use up yarn left over from other projects.
