Curious why the cable pattern (row 1-8) does not have a purl or two dividing it like the picture. It's just a solid 6 knit sts for like 20 rows. It doesn't look right.

I'm confused. I've done the back and just about done the front. The picture shows 2 rows of cable in the left front. I have only one row and a row of k3 p2 k3. What happened?

This cardigan never goes out of style, it's what I like most about it. I like a bit loose fitting for extra comfort and would make it a size larger.

.omment above should have indicated 56 stitches in border

Row 3 of the body stitiches do not add up correctly. ie. XL 120 stitches. 58 in border, leaving 64 stitches in between the markers. Only 14 stitches with 4 repeats =56

There is an extra "work 8 sts from cable 1 pattern' in that row which will bring you to the correct total.

I realise that this is 2 years later - but I am confused as to exactly where I am to add in the extra 8 sts from cable pattern? I seem to be screwed up from row 2. Thank you

In following rows, when instructed to work in Cable pattern over 8 sts, work the next row of the Cable pattern for that particular set of 8 sts. For example, if Row 20 was worked over the 8 sts in the previous row, then work Row 21 over the 8 sts in the next row.
