What does "k 2 bed m" stand for? Can you please explain this to me?

I think you might mean K 2 bef M", which is knit to 2 stitches before the marker. It's not in the legend or on any knitting abbreviations list, since it has been made up for this pattern.

what do all the abbreviations stand for?...there is no legend...can someone help me understand directions as I would like to make this towel for my children - thanks!

Hello, the abbreviations for this pattern have been added. Hope this helps! -Editors of AllFreeKnitting

I love things with chevron designs, and this towel is great! I really like the hanging loop at the top. It keeps the towel from falling down, or being pulled down by toddlers (or cats). I like the stripes but I might try it in self patterning yarn and not changing colors. I pinned this one to make!

Loved making this towel.
