I have not knit mittens in years - not sure I could now, but it says the pattern is fairly easy. Stay tuned to this station for further news

The mittens look just exactly like the ones our 8th grade class (yes all 42 in the class -- boys and girls) knitted during WW II -- the Red Cross supplied the yarn and needles -- the 8th grade teachers taught us all how to knit. We all began with a knitted square approx. 10" X 10" to be collected and sewn together for a blanket -- and then shipped to our soldiers fighting overseas. Appropriate pattern for this Memorial Day weekend.
