This is my go-to knitted baby blanket pattern. It is easy to follow and works up quickly. And the end result is a beautiful blanket that makes a wonderful gift. I have made it with the recommended yarn and have also made it with baby blanket yarn by Bernat. It worked well and made for a very soft and cuddly blanket. The first time I used this pattern was three years ago when my brother and his wife were expecting a new baby. The baby is now three years old and still treasures his blanket.

Thank you so much. I thought that might be the case, but I really appreciate the clarification.

I'm confused about needle size. Under the heading Knitting Needle Size, a Size US 9 or 5.5 mm needle is called for. Yet, under Materials, a Size US 13 or 9 mm needle is listed. Can you please clarify?

Knitting needle size put in at the top of the page is by this website and is incorrect. I went to the redheart website and found the pattern, it is called:Cuddle Bug Baby Blanket Pattern #LW3795 and it states that a 9mm needle is used for this pattern. Hope this helps.

We've amended the pattern so that it has the correct needle size (US 13, 9mm) listed. Thanks for bringing this to our attention! Editors of AllFreeKnitting
