I like the idea of applying knitted trim to store-bought towels. You can buy plain towels in any color (less expensive) and dress them up yourself to give as gifts or if your own bathroom needs a pick-me-up.

I love this idea! Pretty yet useful, distinguishing and oh-so-handmade for perfect gifts (to yourself, too!). I shall definitely make these and am looking forward to it!
