Japanese feather lace is a stunning lace stitch that's also pretty easy to work. While we don't necessarily recommend this stitch pattern for your first attempt at lace, it IS pretty easy to work, once you've done a few repeats. It's one that you can master easily and are sure to fall in love with.
Try this stitch out for your next knit scarf or blanket and see how you like it. The Japanese feather stitch is a truly elegant and fun stitch to work with. The only increasing and decreasing you need to know is the yarn over and the knit two together.
