Next row: *P1. K1. Rep from * to end of row. Proceed as follows:
1st row: *K3. P3. Rep from * to end of row. This row forms (K3. P3) ribbing pat. Cont in (K3. P3) ribbing pat, inc 1 st at each end of 5th row, then following 6th row. 64 (70- 76-76) sts, taking inc sts into rib pat. Work 11 rows even. Shape cap: Cast off 4 sts beg next 2 rows. Dec 1 st at each end of next 10 rows. Cast off 3 sts beg next 2 rows. Cast off rem 30 (36-42-42) sts.
 

Finishing
Pin garment pieces to measurements and cover with a damp cloth allowing cloth to dry. Sew shoulder seams. With RS of work facing and 2 strands of yarn, work 1 row of single crochet around neck edge, and front opening (see diagram). With 2 strands of yarn, crochet a chain 36 ins [90 cm] long. Fasten off. Thread through eyelet holes as illustrated. Knot ends. Sew in sleeves. Beg at marked rows at side edges, sew side and sleeve seams.
