Stash 'N Go Purse

Use free knitting patterns like this one to make your summer extra special. Whether you're planning on using your Stash 'N Go Purse for a night on the town, or if you're just looking for some practice in knitting purses, this is a great pattern to bring to life. Knitting Needle Size13 or 9 mm

Yarn Weight(5) Bulky/Chunky (12-15 stitches for 4 inches)

Materials:

  • U.S. size 13 needle  
  • Lion Brand chunky yarn       

 

Instructions:

CO 15 st.  
Knit 2 rows then begin pattern:
R1: P1, K4 across the row
R2: P3, K2 across the row
R3: P3, K2 across the row
R4: P1, K4 across the row

Repeat these 4 rows until piece is 12 inches long
Knit 2 more rows
BO

Fold piece in half and seam sides together using the mattress stitch
Attach button.  Note: the yarn is easy to slip a button through without having to make a buttonhole.  


STRAP:  
CO 5 sts.
Follow the above pattern (R1 - R4) until strap is 16 inches long ending with row 4.

Attach strap to the purse.
