  • #7 Jumbo Yarn: Bernat Blanket Big (100% polyester, 10.5 oz [300 g], 32 yd [29 m]) 1 skein ea of 3 colors: Vintage White (A), Teal (B) and Taupe (C)
  • Needle(s): Boye® 14" [35.5 cm], US 50 [25 mm]
  • Sewing needle
  • Thread to match Color B

Instructions

This yarn is so bulky that it does not work well to knot it when joining. Directions are given for sewing the skeins together. Because it is so bulky, it is easy to hide the join in the stitches.

CO 11 sts with Color A.
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Purl
Rep Rows 1-2 until 12" [30.5 cm] of Color A remains. (It does not matter if it is the end of a row.)
Butt ends of Color A and Color B together and with needle and thread sew ends together.
Continue knitting in pattern with Color B until 12" [30.5 cm] remains. Repeat joining method with Color B and Color C. Continue knitting in pattern with Color C until about 1 yd [1 m] remains. BO all stitches.

Finishing

Weave in remaining tails.
