Instructions

Cast on 27 sts.
Knit 3 rows, noting first row is WS and inc 2 sts evenly across last row. 29 sts.

Proceed in pat as follows:
1st row: (RS). K4. *P3. K3. Rep from * to last st. K1.
2nd row: K1. *P3. K3. Rep from * to last 4 sts. P3. K1.
3rd and 4th rows: As 1st and 2nd rows.
5th row: K1. *yo. Sl1. K2tog. psso. yo. K3. Rep from * to last 4 sts. yo. Sl1. K2tog. psso. yo. K1.
6th row: K1. *K3. P3. Rep from * to last 4 sts. K4.
7th row: K1. *P3. K3. Rep from * to last 4 sts. P3. K1.
8th and 9th rows: As 6th and 7th rows.
10th row: As 6th row.
11th row: K4. *yo. Sl1. K2tog. psso. yo. K3. Rep from * to last st. K1.
12th row: As 2nd row.

Rep last 12 rows for pat until Scarf from beg measures approx 100" [254 cm], ending on a 6th or 12th row of pat.

Next row: (RS). Knit, dec 2 sts evenly across. 27 sts.
Knit 2 rows. Cast off knitwise (WS).

To make 4 tassels, cut a piece of cardboard 8" [20.5 cm] wide. Wind yarn around cardboard 50 times. Break yarn leaving a long end and thread end through needle. Slip needle through all loops and tie tightly. Remove cardboard and wind yarn tightly around loops 1" [2.5 cm] below fold. Fasten securely. Cut through rem loops and trim ends evenly. Sew Tassels to each corner of Scarf at ends.
