Pattern
Garter Stitch, using 5.5 mm needles.
Knit every row.
Tension/Gauge
To achieve a good result it is essential to make a tension square:
18 sts & 26 rows using Garter Stitch & 5.5 mm needles = 10 cm (4 in) square.
The completed scarf measures 20 cm (8 in) wide & 170 cm (67 in) long.
Using 5.5 mm needles cast on 36 sts. Work in Garter St for 170 cm (67 in) [442 rows] total.
Then cast off all sts cutting yarn 10 cm (4 in) from work.
Using a wool needle darn the ends of the yarn through the work for a few stitches along a row then cut off excess yarn.
