4th row: *K1. P1. Rep from * to last st. K1.
Rep last 4 rows for Irish Moss St Pat until Scarf measures 8½" [21.5 cm], ending on a WS row.
Make slit: Next row: (RS). Pat across 6 sts. Cast off 3 sts. Pat to end of row.
Next row: Pat across 6 sts. Cast on 3 sts. Pat to end of row. 15 sts.
Place marker at end of last row.

Cont in pat until Scarf from marker measures 28" [71 cm], ending on a WS row.
Cast off in pat.
