Swan's Head Mitts

By: Sybil Ramkin from Knitting And So On

A swirling stitch design combined with a lovely variegated color palette create the Swan's Head Mitts. This beautiful fingerless mittens knitting pattern is knit in one piece beginning at the thumb. The shape of the swan's head is achieved by increasing the first part of a row and decreasing the second part, giving the pattern a figure-eight design. We think the swirl design shows best with a variegated yarn, but a solid color mitt would display the subtle beauty of these mitts as well.
