Cast on 94 sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle in rows, proceed as follows:

Knit 9 rows (garter st), noting 1st row is RS.
Next row: (WS). K5. *Kfb. K2. Rep from * to last 5 sts. K5. 122 sts.

Proceed in Trinity St Pat as follows:
1st row: (RS). K5. Purl to last 5 sts. K5.
2nd row: K5. *(K1. P1. K1) all in same st. P3tog. Rep from * to last 5 sts st. K5.
3rd row: K5. Purl to last 5 sts. K5.
4th row: K5. *P3tog. (K1. P1. K1) all in same st.
Rep from * to last 5 sts. K5.
Rep last 4 rows for Trinity St Pat until work Blanket from beg measures approx 27½" [70 cm], ending on a RS row.
Next row: (WS). K5. *K2tog. K2. Rep from * to last 5 sts. K5. 94 sts.
Knit 9 rows (garter st).
Next row: (WS) Cast off 34 sts. K26 and place on st holder for Hood. Cast off 34 sts.

Slip 26 sts from st holder to working needle.
