  • Size 5 mm (U.S. 8) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.
  • 2 stitch holders

Instructions

Motif

Make 4 with B as Color 2.
Make 4 with C as Color 2.
Make 4 with D as Color 2.
Make 4 with E as Color 2.

  1. With A, cast on 79 sts.

    1st row: (WS). With A, knit.
    2nd row: With Color 2, K38. Sl1. K2tog. psso. Place marker on last st. K38.
    3rd row: With Color 2, knit.
    4th row: With A, knit to 1 st before marked st. Sl1. K2tog. psso. (Place marker on last st). Knit to end of row.
    5th row: With A, knit.
    6th and 7th rows: With Color 2, as 4th and 5th rows.
    Last 4 rows form pat.

    Cont in pat as established working one less st before each (Sl1. K2tog. psso) until 3 sts rem.

    Next row: (WS). With A, Sl1. K2tog. psso.

    Fasten off.

Assembly

Sew Motifs tog as shown in Assembly Diagram

  1. Top and bottom edging:
    With RS facing and A, pick up and knit 153 sts along top edge of Blanket.
    Knit 7 rows (garter st). Cast off. Rep for Bottom edge.

    Side edging:
    With RS facing and A, pick up and knit 161 sts along side edge of Blanket.
    Knit 7 rows (garter st). Cast off. Rep for opposite edge.
