1ST PANEL (Start with Grey) (Left side of Blanket)
CO 64 STITCHES
ROW 1 – 4 MOSS STITCH START OF PATTERN:
1st row: K 60, Moss last 4
2nd row: Moss 4, P 60
Repeat rows 1 & 2 28 more times
BOTTOM OF VERTICAL CROSS:
1. K21 with Grey, add White, K 9 White, add another ball of Grey, K 30, Moss 4
2. Moss 4, P 30, P9, P 21 Repeat these 2 rows 12 times (14 rows in total)
START OF HORIZONTAL CROSS:
1. K 11 (G), K 29 (W), K 20 (G)
2. P 20 (G), P 29 (W), P 11 (G)
Repeat these 2 rows 10 times (12 rows in total)
TOP OF VERTICAL CROSS:
1. K21 with Grey, add White, K 9 White, add another ball of Grey, K 30, Moss 4
2. Moss 4, P 30, P9, P 21 Repeat these 2 rows 12 times (14 rows in total) K30 rows with Grey Start from
BOTTOM OF VERTICAL CROSS, REPEAT
Repeat pattern until 5 crosses are complete.
Knit 30 rows.
End with 4 rows Moss.
CO in Moss 2nd
AND ALL IN BETWEEN PANELS (make 3)
CO 51 stitches (please note, only the bottom and top part will have 4 rows of moss – no moss on the sides K 4 rows moss)
1. Knit 51 stitches across
2. Purl 51 stitches across Repeat these 2 rows 28 times
Start of bottom of cross:
1. K21, add white k 9 (start of cross), K21
Follow pattern through until cross is finished
End panel with K30, K 4 rows moss
5th PANEL (Start with Grey) (Right side of Blanket)
CO 64 STITCHES ROW
1 – 4 MOSS STITCH
1st row: Moss 4, K to end
2nd row: Purl to last 4 stitches, Moss 4
Thus, pattern is now in reverse mode
Repeat these 2 rows for 28 rows
With start of cross, Moss 4, K 30, start cross, K 11
Continue in reverse pattern until it matches left side of blanket
Join panels using the mattress stitch and round off with crab stitch
