INSTRUCTIONS
With MC, cast on 24 sts.
1st row: (RS). Knit.
2nd row: K1. P1. Wrapping yarn around needle twice per st, purl to last 2 sts. P1. K1.
3rd row: K2. *Sl5, dropping extra loops of each st. Return these 5 slipped sts back onto left-hand needle. Wrapping yarn around needle twice per st, work these 5 sts tog as follows and do not remove sts from left-hand needle until complete: (K5tog. P5tog. K5tog. P5tog. K5tog). Rep from * to last 2 sts. K2.
4th row: K1. P1. Dropping extra loops of each st, knit to last 2 sts. P1. K1.
5th row: Cast on 3 sts. Knit to end of row.
6th row: Cast on 2 sts. K1. P1. Wrapping yarn around needle twice per st, purl to last 2 sts. P1. K1.
7th row: As 3rd row.
8th row: As 4th row.
Rep 5th to 8th rows twice more. 39 sts.
Proceed as follows:
Next row: (RS). Knit.
Next row: K1. P1. Wrapping yarn around needle twice per st, purl to last 2 sts. P1. K1.
Next row: K2. Sl2, dropping extra loops of each st. Return these 2 slipped sts back onto left-hand needle. Wrapping yarn around needle twice per st, work these 2 sts tog as follows and do not remove sts from left-hand needle until complete: (K2tog. P2tog). *Sl 5, dropping extra loops of each st. Return these 5 slipped sts back onto left-hand needle.

Pineapple Top
With A, proceed as follows.
1st row: (RS). K11. K2tog. K11. 23 sts.
2nd row: K12. Place marker on last st. K11.
3rd row: Cast on 8 sts. Knit to 1 st before marker. K3tog. Knit to end of row.
4th row: Cast on 8 sts. Knit to end of row.
5th row: Cast off 8 sts. Knit to 1 st before marker. K3tog. Knit to end of row.
6th row: Cast off 8 sts. Knit to end of row.
Rep 3rd to 6th rows until 3 sts rem.
Next row: Cast on 13 sts. Knit to end of row.
Next row: Knit.
Cast off.
Fold last 16 st strip in half and attach to top, creating hanging loop as seen in picture.
