Party Stripes Knit Dishcloth Pattern

To add some serious color to your kitchen, use this Party Stripes Knit Dishcloth Pattern to knit yourself a dishcloth with some crazy hues! Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)

Gauge1 stitches, 2 rows, 3 inches. stockinette stitch

Materials:

  • RED HEART® Scrubby™
    • 709 Bubblegum: A - 1 ball
    • 241 Duckie: B - 1 ball
  • Susan Bates® Knitting Needles: 5mm [US 8]
  • Yarn needle

 

Measurements: Cloth measures 7 x 7” (18 x 18 cm) square.

 

Abbreviations:

A and B = Color A, and Color B

st(s) = stitch(es)

[ ] = work directions in brackets the number of times specified

 

Gauge: 15 sts = 4” (10 cm); 25 rows = 4” (10 cm) in Garter st (knit every row). CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

 

Note: Color is changed to form stripes. Carry color not in use carefully up side of piece.

 

Instructions

DISHCLOTH

With A, cast on 26 sts.

Work in Garter st (knit every row), changing color as in the following sequence:

[Work 4 rows with A, 2 rows with B, 2 rows with A, 2 rows with B] 4 times, then work 4 rows with A. Bind off loosely.

 

FINISHING

Weave in ends.
