Knitting Needle Size10 or 6 mm

Yarn Weight(4) Medium Weight/Worsted Weight and Aran (16-20 stitches to 4 inches)


Finished Measurement: 12” deep x 28” around. One size fits most women.

GAUGE: 17 sts = 4”; 22 rows = 4” in Elongated Slip Stitch pattern. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needle to obtain the gauge.

Materials:

  • RED HEART® Boutique™ Treasure™: 2 balls 1918 Abstract.
  • Knitting Needles: 6mm [US 10].
  • Yarn needle.


Special Abbreviations
wyib = with yarn in back of work.
wyif = with yarn in front of work.

Abbreviations: K = knit; mm = millimeters; P = purl;
st(s) = stitch(es); [ ] = work directions in brackets the
number of times specified.

COWL
Cast on 48 sts. Set up pattern as follows:
Row 1 (Wrong Side): K6, [p1, k4] 8 times, k2.
Row 2: K2, p4, [slip 1 purlwise wyib, p4] 8 times, k2.
Row 3: K6, [slip 1 purlwise wyif, k4] 8 times, k2.
Row 4: K2, p4, [slip 1 purlwise wyib, p4] 8 times, k2.
Repeat Rows 1-4 for Elongated Slip Stitch Rib Pattern until 28” from beginning. Bind off. Sew cast-on edge to bind-off edge to form tube.
Weave in any loose ends.
